POP OF COLOR

With summer right around the corner I’m really excited to share my favorite trends! There are so many fun things going on and the pop of color liner is one of my favorites! Yes ladies… BLUE is back! This trend turns any eye into something fun and flirty! The color possibilities are really endless! You can use any color you like, I chose to use blue today. I also really LOVE bright orange! I used a sephora liquid liner on the top lash line, and extended it out to a wing! Let’s be honest, I really love a wing! You can also use the color liner on the bottom inside the eye on the tear line! I urge you to go get some colored liners this summer and work it! I can’t wait to see some bright summer eyes! #lnhface

Barely There…

With summer right around the corner, a barely there post is a must! It’s a super runway trend right now and so easy to accomplish. First, pick a great foundation with SPF in it. I personally love Benefit Hello Flawless, it’s super light and contains SPF 25. After the foundation apply powder, whatever powder you love will be perfect. This may not be the foundation for you, just make sure it has the coverage and SPF you want. I stress the SPF because it’s a great makeup to wear to the beach or even a pool party! If you are blessed with completely even skin, AMEN, you can forgo this step and just use a moisturizer with SPF. Next, apply concealer as you normally do. I use my concealer under my eyes to brighten them up. Third, choose an eyeshadow that has a gold tint to it. When you apply the eyeshadow pat it all over the eye lid, patting prevents you from applying too much. Now you are ready for liner, I use a black liner and again pat it right against the lash line. The goal here is to just darker your lash line, you don’t want an eyeliner line. Then, hit your lashes with your favorite mascara! Lastly, apply your bronzer and blush as you normally do and give your lips a glow with a nude gloss. Also, with a quick switch of lip color you can be ready for a night on the town or a dinner with the girls! This is so simple and a great way to wear makeup in the summer without feeling too hot and smothered. !

Purple eyes

It’s been a while since I’ve written a post, I’ve been so busy with makeup! Wedding season is hitting me hard and I couldn’t feel more grateful for all my beautiful clients who keep me busy! Thank you so much! Now.. On to spring! Yes ladies, purple eye shadow is all the rage! It can be anywhere from a light brush or a dark purple smokey. It was on all the runways for New York fashion week. I know that purple seems like a scary color, at first I was like whhhhatt!?!? I really thought of recital, but it can be done so gorgeous! I used a light purple in the crease and under my bottom lash line and ladies it really brightens up brown eyes! So for all you brown eyed girls like me, you really must try this trend! Don’t be afraid of color, it’s spring time!

This is the finished look! So delicate, and easy!

Wing It

I love a winged eyeliner, but I have the same issue any girl has.. How do I make them even and perfect? Ladies look no further I have found the answer to all your wing questions. It’s so simple to do a winged look with a piece of tape! Just get a piece of scotch tape and place it at the corner of your eye angling it up and away from the eye. Ladies it’s the simplest makeup artist trick in the book, anyone is capable of following a line! Once your tape is in place, just apply your eyeshadow and eyeliner as you always do. Use the tape as a grid, it can be messy and when you take the tape off you will be amazed at your results! Get in your makeup and try this makeup trick! Please use the pictures below to help you out.

Step 1: place tape in the corner of eye.

Step 2: apply eye makeup as usual.

Final Product : perfect wings!

Gloomy Daze

It’s a gloomy day here in southeast Texas! When it’s raining and freezing cold the only thing that sounds like a good idea is a long nap! Well, I say get up and get ready! Be creative and get your mind working.. The day is cold, but you don’t have to be! Todays makeup look is simple and fresh! I have a light shadow all over the lids and a light brown in the crease. I’m really loving the thin winged liner. Just a thin line and bring it out just a bit still following your natural lash line. I don’t love to go Amy Winehouse with it, but hey whatever floats your gorgeous boat!  I also lined my bottom lash line with brown shadow. Then I hit the bottom tear line with a white pencil liner, this trick REALLY  makes your eyes pop! Finish your look with a good bronzer and bright pink blush. It’s the perfect time to go to town with that blush! Hit your cheek bones and nose for that cold, but totally cute chilled look! Like you’ve spend the day in snow, but look totally amazing! Haha!! Use a natural lip color or gloss and your are ready to take on this gloomy day with a great fresh makeup and hopefully a positive attitude. Be sweet and compliment someone today, it’s raining outside and it may bring some sunshine in their day. Love you dolls! Happy hump day!

Light Eyes

I’ve been searching and testing out the best technique for a light eye shadow look. I think that I’ve found it! It’s so simple and it’s all eyeshadow! First, use a soft white all over the lid. Then, use a light brown in the corners of the outer eye, blend up! My favorite blending brush is the Mac 224 tapered blending brush. It’s so perfect for every blending need. Then with an angle brush, brush on black eyeshadow as eyeliner. I used the Mac 208 small angled brow brush.

I like to use several layers of mascara to finish out the eye. I prefer the makeup forever smokey eye mascara, it’s amazing. Finally, I dusted my cheeks with really sheer pink blush then highlighted my cheek bones! It’s such a simple look, and so easy to accomplish. Really ideal for a girl on the go, wanting an easy/natural look.

GlamGlow

I am so excited about this product! It’s a facial mask called GlamGlow! You can find it at Sephora or glamglow.com. It is literally the best face product I have ever used. My problem areas are my pores, they are big and full of dirt. I have used countless products claiming that it could minimize my pores. I am here to tell you that GlamGlow really does shrink your pores! I am so ecstatic to find a product that actually works! It’s a facial mud mask that you rub on and leave for 5-20 mins and rinse with cold water. I left the mask on for the max 20 mins. The results are so incredible. I literally cannot see my pores anymore! One jar will last you a while, you can cover your entire face or use it as a spot treatment on a pimple! I plan to use this once a month as an all over face mask, then spot use when needed. Ladies go get your GlamGlow, you will not regret it!

Let’s talk lips…

Ok, I have the tiniest lips ever. There is a simple way to plump up your kissers w no injections or surgery! Use a lip liner, that’s the key to it all. Do NOT line extremely over your lips, just follow the lip line. Then color the lip in with the liner in the corners of the mouth. Next, fill in your lips with your lipstick, apply generously! The final step to plumping is to get a high gloss and dab it in the center of your lips. After doing this simple trick you will be saying hello to the luscious lips you never knew you had! There are amazing lip plumping glosses out there, but this is a great alternative if you don’t want to break your bank! I love you dolls, you’re so fabulous!
